Torah Links of Cherry Hill To Host Two Internationally Acclaimed Speakers

Torah links will launch its “Jewish Unity Live 2007” campaign by hosting Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller and Rebbetzin Gila Manolson on Tuesday, May 9, and Thursday, May 11, respectively. The “Jewish Unity Live” campaign, which strives to involve Jews in Torah study, held gala affairs around the country celebrating “10,000 Jews in the Know” this past March. The new campaign which will culminate in the spring of 2007 will focus both on traditional group learning, as well as the newly developed mentorship program in which motivated people are guided through a program of self study.

Rebbetzin Heller has taught Torah to Jews of all walks of life, for over two decades. Internationally known as an outstanding scholar and a gifted lecturer, she has been a full-time faculty member of Neve Yerushalayim College in Jerusalem since 1980. Through her well attended lectures she has touched the lives of thousands, and has guided people to see the beauty of their Jewish heritage.

The May 9 event, which will take place at the home of Rahmat and Esther Rabizadeh, 9 Chateau Drive, (off Springdale Road, just north of Morris Drive) in Cherry Hill, will begin at 7:15. The event is open to both men and women, and is entitled: “Body, Soul, and the Afterlife”. Through this venue, Rebbetzin Heller will lead her listeners along creative new lines of thought. Her keen sense of humor, coupled with practical examples will enable the listener to enjoy even the most abstract concepts.

Rebbetzin Manolson, a graduate of Yale University, is one of the Jewish world’s most popular, controversial, and entertaining lecturers on relationships. Well-known for her direct, down-to-earth style, she has challenged women of all ages to rethink their most basic assumptions about their role in marriage and in the workplace. This presentation, entitled, “The Feminine Touch: The Role of the Jewish Woman in the Modern World,” is open to women only.

The May 11 event will be co-hosted by Kolot of Young Israel of Cherry Hill. It will take place in the Cherry Hill Public Library at 1100 Kings Highway and will begin at 7:15.

In conjunction with the Thursday evening event, Kolot of Young Israel of Cherry Hill has arranged for a special delivery from Glatt Bite of Lakewood. Women can get the evening out, and treat themselves to fine Chinese cuisine for the Shabbos meals. To obtain a menu and order form, log onto www.teach613.org and visit the Community Section.

Suggested donation is $10 for each event, or $18 for both. All proceeds to help defray the cost of the events. To RSVP, or for more information, please contact Rabbi Mordechai Rhine at 856-667-4095 or Rabbi Yisroel Serebrowski at 908-770-8248 or email to yserebrowski@torahlinks.org .
